Professor Fekrazad's distinguished career was defined by the seamless integration of four core roles: dedicated researcher, inspiring educator, visionary scientific administrator, and influential policy-maker. He held prominent leadership positions, including Vice-President and Director of Publications of the World Association for Photobiomodulation and Laser Therapy (WALT), Immediate Past President of the Iranian Medical Laser Association, and founder and head of the Radiation Sciences Research Center at AJA University of Medical Sciences. As a Professor in the Department of Periodontology at AJA University's School of Dentistry, he profoundly influenced both undergraduate and postgraduate education, mentored over 50 theses, and founded Iran's first Fellowship course in Laser Dentistry. His prolific scholarly output includes 229 documents, over 4,500 citations, numerous book chapters, and co-authorship of seminal WALT position papers. Beyond his academic achievements, Professor Fekrazad embodied the highest ideals of scientific integrity, compassion, and mentorship. This memorial honors a luminary whose intellectual and moral legacy will continue to illuminate the fields of photomedicine and dentistry for generations to come, inspiring all who strive to harness the therapeutic power of light in service of humanity.
