All articles published in the Journal of Iranian Dental Association (JIDA) are made accessible under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0 Unported License (CC BY-NC 3.0). This open-access licensing framework is specifically designed to promote the free dissemination of knowledge while ensuring proper acknowledgment of the original authors' contributions.

Under this license, users are allowed to read, download, and share the published material without any cost or restrictions. Additionally, they may copy, reproduce, and redistribute the content in any medium or format, as well as adapt, remix, or create derivative works based on the original material. However, these activities are subject to two critical conditions:
1. Attribution:

Proper credit must always be given to the original author(s) and the source, including citation of the original publication in JIDA. This ensures that the authors' intellectual contributions are duly recognized.
2. Non-Commercial Use:

The content is strictly for non-commercial purposes. It cannot be used for profit-making or commercial activities, preserving its focus on academic and educational endeavors.

Furthermore, according to the current journal policy, no Article Publication Charge (APC) is required for authors at this time. This temporary waiver reflects the journal's commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible publishing environment, removing financial barriers that might otherwise discourage authors from disseminating their work.

By adopting the CC BY-NC 3.0 license and temporarily forgoing APCs, JIDA reaffirms its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of academic rigor and ethical publishing. It is hoped that this approach can facilitate widespread knowledge sharing, collaborative innovation, and equitable access to cutting-edge research in the field of dentistry.
